Designers need patience.

Understanding when to let things be is an important skill to develop. People, organizations, or environments develop at different speeds and it's important to know when or where they are ready for change.

Effective designers and leaders have patience. Let situations unfold naturally until they are ready for intervention. Your time would be better spent listening and watching than actively working to effect change. Focus instead on making connections with people. You may find that when the time for action arrives, people will be more supportive of your ideas.
