Overspending doesn’t just happen over the holidays. People do it daily.

People spend their money on things they don’t necessarily need, but have the ability to buy. They also spend their time doing things that are not helping them get to where they need to go.

You should consciously be working to manage your time like you manage your financial budget. The more scrutiny you give to what you are doing moment to moment, the more control you will have over your time.

The problem with overspending is the scattering of your resources. Intentionally planting seeds of growth in various places is one thing, but continually chasing without intent is a waste of time and money. Work instead to build something of your own of value and you may find that the opportunities may come to you.
