Walk into most organizations, and you’ll often find two people with the same title doing completely different work.

They’ll have the same job description and appear at the same level on the org chart. But they’ll do their job in completely different ways.

One might be a translator: converting complexity into clarity for everyone around them.

The other could be a builder: assembling things that didn’t exist before.

Neither the org chart nor the job description captures any of that.

Titles are remarkably good at hiding what’s actually happening.
