Just as I observe a tree and recognize its age, root structure, growth direction, and the impact of sunlight on its various parts, I can similarly perceive an organization as a living ecosystem.

Over the course of a meeting with a small group of people, for instance, I can discern the power dynamics, the trajectory of the group, and the relationships between members.

In both cases, the interrelated parts form a complex and vibrant system that flourishes when all its elements work together.

I look at organizations as a whole, and I see the interplay between different parts. I understand that each part has its own function and contributes to the overall health of the group. If one part is damaged or failing, it affects everything else.

How do you see organizations?

As a whole or as a collection of discrete elements?
